About these terms

These terms govern the use of xlsconverter.com (the "service"), provided by the administrator of the xlsconverter.com service (the "administrator", "we"). By creating an account, starting a subscription or using the API you accept these terms. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

Description of the service

XlsConverter is a spreadsheet conversion and automation platform. It converts files between formats such as XLS, XLSX, XLSM, XLSB, ODS, CSV, TSV, Apple Numbers, JSON, XML, SQL, HTML, Markdown, TXT and PDF, and offers batch conversion, column tools, schema mapping templates, automated pipelines with schedules, AI column normalization, and a REST API with signed webhooks. The features available to you depend on your plan, as described on the pricing page.

Accounts

• You need an account to download results and to subscribe. Sign up requires a valid email address confirmed with a code.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential and for all activity under your account.
• A team account is managed by its owner, who controls seats, roles and billing.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

One-time demo

The service offers a one-time demo: one conversion of a file of up to 100 rows, once per account and IP address. The demo download is limited to 100 rows and ends with a marker line. The demo is not a plan, is not renewable and does not include batches, pipelines or the API.

Subscriptions and billing

• The service is sold only as subscriptions: Pro, Business, API and Enterprise. There are no one-time purchases or credits.
• Each plan is billed monthly or yearly in advance. Yearly billing is shown on the pricing page with its discount.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time in your account, and access continues until the end of the paid period.
• When you upgrade to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing, the prorated difference is charged immediately and the new plan becomes active once the payment succeeds.
• When you downgrade, the change takes effect without a refund to your card.
• Prices are shown before payment. Applicable taxes may be added according to your location.

Usage limits

Each plan includes limits such as conversions per billing period, maximum file size, batch size, pipelines, AI normalization runs and seats. Limits are counted as consumption in the billing period: every created conversion or AI run counts when it is made. Deleting jobs, results or pipelines does not restore quota. Quota resets at the start of the next billing period. When you reach a limit, you can wait for the next period or upgrade.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload files you have no right to process, or content that is unlawful,
• upload malware or files crafted to attack the service,
• try to bypass limits, the one-time demo rule or access controls, including by creating multiple accounts,
• interfere with the operation or security of the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission,
• resell the service as a standalone conversion product without a separate agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your data and files

You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the converted results. You grant us only the permission needed to process them to provide the service. We do not use your files to train AI models. When your files contain personal data of other people, you are the controller and a data processing agreement is available in your account.

File deletion

Uploaded files and results are deleted automatically, by default one hour after the conversion finishes. Paid plans can shorten this window and Enterprise accounts have retention controls. You are responsible for downloading results or delivering them to your destinations within the retention window. Deleted files cannot be recovered.

API terms

• The REST API is available on the API and Enterprise plans and is used with Bearer API keys created in your account.
• API usage counts toward the conversion limit of your plan. Requests over the limit or over the rate limits are rejected with an error response.
• Webhooks are signed with HMAC SHA-256. You are responsible for verifying signatures and securing your endpoints.
• We may change the API with reasonable notice. Breaking changes are introduced in a new version of the API.

Availability and service level

We work to keep the service available at all times, but planned maintenance and events outside our control may cause interruptions. The Enterprise plan includes an uptime commitment of 99.9 percent per calendar month, as stated in the plan description, with service credits for the Enterprise subscription when the commitment is not met. Other plans do not include an uptime commitment.

Refunds

Payments are refunded in line with your statutory rights, for example the right of withdrawal for consumers where it applies and has not expired or been waived by starting to use the service. Apart from statutory rights, fees for a started billing period are not refunded, and cancellation stops the next renewal. To request a refund, write to [email protected] with your account email.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. You are responsible for checking converted results before relying on them. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time in the account settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, fails to pay or puts the security of the service at risk. After termination, files and account data are deleted as described in the privacy policy, except records we must keep by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We will notify account holders by email about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not accept the changes, you can cancel your subscription before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable at the seat of the administrator, without prejudice to mandatory consumer law of the country where a consumer lives. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts, subject to the same mandatory rules.
